Shades of Blue

So I first heard this a year or so ago and this video always caught my attention. I have no idea why but maybe because Madlib has almost no actual DJing footage or because I just like the album, but its funny to see his style. He looks almost uncomfortable Djing which is really odd for a world class/insanely talented beatmaker. I hope he doesn't always have to use the same hand when he is trying to mix, it looks kind of goofy. Oh well he is still one of the greatest producers and an amazing jazz composer.

I just bought my tickets to Japan for 2 weeks in August. As you may imagine I have been listening to Gagle and Mitsu The Beats all day to get in the mood. I am so excited to see everyone again and hopefully throw down a few tracks on the wheels of steel.

I Wish I Knew French

So Hocus Pocus is really addicting. I am not talking about the 90's Disney movie but instead about the French MC. He mixes a lot of accoustic stuff with jazz and down tempo relaxed shit. He is pretty insane on the mic even though I can't understand anything he is saying. Check it out for yourself.
